Mika Sports Association's mission is to provide girls and young women (aged 8-21) with the opportunity to excel in the game of basketball and in the classroom. We emphasize fundamental skill development, personal growth, academic excellence, and teamwork. MIKA symbolizes for "Making Intelligent Kids Athletes."

It's very important to us that each player enjoys playing the game as they learn self-respect, loyalty, hard work, dedication, and what it takes to become a productive young adult. The unique attributes of MIKA players are their soaring academic performance, community involvement, persistence, and welcoming personalities, which match the intensity they exude on the court. Participants will develop a great outlook on reaching expectations and goals as athletes and in learning life lessons. For MIKA, winning isn't our main concern, the ultimate goal is the lessons learned along the way about playing the game right. Each experience helps each player develop good character, decision-making skills, and, hopefully, the tools to become extraordinary.
